India to Revise Important Food Safety Standards

On Nov. 13, 2015, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) announced the revision of two important food safety standards, i.e. “Fooferric pyrophosphate pregnancyd Safety anferrous fumarate vs folic acidd Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulatioiron bisglycinate vs ferrous gluconatens, 2011” and “Food Safety anferrous sulfate 65 mg dosaged Standards (Contaminants, Toxinsferric pyrophosphate absorption rate and Residues) Regulations, 2011”, which will be open for public consultation for 60 days.
